Jazwinski was simply enjoying a pleasurable ride through town when a policeperson decided he deserved investigation. William was bewildered as to why, however, not having committed any crimes to his knowledge. Random police stops are part of life, and we will all be stopped several if not multiple times in our lives. William had maintained a clean driving record, free of collisions or tickets. Just why he was being pulled over was beyond him. This was a man that had always done his best to stay on the right side of the law, causing as little trouble with people in general. William had no idea what the officer would do to him after leaving his patrol car. All those scary stories of police officers taking advantage began speeding through his mind.
