Waking Up
George was becoming increasingly worried about his dog, as was reasonable for any decent pet owner. The man commenced petting his dog frightenedly, and Crosby finally snapped to attention, much to George’s relief. The dog was out of his trance, and George began asking him what was wrong in a concerned tone while staring into the dog’s big eyes. Eventually, George was just thankful that his best friend had returned to normal. Had some bug crawled around the wall? The real mystery was far larger…

George stayed close to his dog for the remainder of the evening, keeping a close eye on the formerly charmed dog. The pooch was now behaving fine, that was until George got up at around midnight and sleepily stepped into the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water. There he saw Crosby as he walked past the living room. George was disturbed to see his dog transfixed on the wall once more, but he also noticed how miserable his pooch seemed.
