Absolution
During their television appearance, Emma reinforced Richard’s lawful pursuits and their validity. She maintained that one could not be so deceitful and just walk away. According to her, Richard merely brought Kate to justice and made her pay her dues. Emma’s voice had been added to what were probably only a few that supported Richard, but she made an impassioned and convincing plea, nonetheless. She was Richard’s main advocate and source of strength, one that he could not manage without.

Emma continued by saying that the boys owed them their time and goodwill, as their time on earth had been so diminished by illness. She was of the opinion that given how much effort they had put into righting the wrongs within the family, despite both being so sick, that they at least deserved an open line of communication. Her words seemed to fall on deaf ears, however, with the boys failing to budge after all they had been through.
