Biding His Time
William was understandably perplexed, especially because he was apparently acting within the law. Regardless, he was limited to sitting and biding his time before the officer communicated with him. These are the kinds of moments where time slows down to a crawl, where every second passes by noticeably. William just wanted to comply with whatever the officer wanted of him and move on with his day. That being said, he was not about to be taken for a ride, especially not to the police station.
Interrogation

This is the first rule that most people believe they have broken, and many of us have a heavier foot than we realize. But William had not been speeding, at least not that he was aware. What was the officer’s pressing issue?
