William thought that cruising down a peaceful New York street, free of other cars, was the best way forwards. Driving at a moderate speed, he appreciated the beauty of the surrounding forests and hedges, the clear blue skies, and the empty, silent road. But William would not make much progress before a life-changing encounter would come his unexpected way. He didn’t get very far before turning to discover that a police car was following him.

William could have never dreamed that a police officer of all people would stop him for a strange but impactful exchange. It had been an emotional whirlwind, and it was now coming to a powerful climax. It was in this instance that the policeman gingerly requested William to exit his vehicle for a meaningful hug. The cop just wanted an embrace to ease his grief, as he was so broken from losing his son in such a terrible way.
