Whatever nastiness had been inflicted on the pooch, it was bad enough that it would rather bury itself in a hole than nourish itself. Many found it surprising when the dog didn’t cool down and approach the cheeseburger as food is known to quell their fears. Instead, she curled further under the car away from everyone.

It was evident this poor dog had had enough of humans that she was scared to trust them even when food was involved. Well, this dog was willing to sacrifice her hunger rather than trusting a group of humans, even if it meant they were trying to help her. You might not be able to understand this dog’s mindset if you have been lucky enough to live a mostly peaceful life, but for dogs on the street, survival depends on hiding from any potential threat.
