While they were working on getting her out, they had to be encouraging her how they knew best to while being highly patient with her. Bear in mind, animals can be fragile, especially when they are traumatized. The dog might have been complying with their wishes, but she was still in a very bad way mentally and physically, and the rescuers were always conscious that she could turn on them in a split second. That is just the nature of scared animals.

Giving Her a Sweet Name
First things first, this dog needed a name! Seeing as they found her on a rainy morning and all alone, they decided to name her Rain. Throughout the whole process, though, she kept her tail tucked between her legs but was making lots of progress with the team. When a dog tucks its tail in between its legs, it usually means that it is afraid, but it can also mean that it is on the defensive, and so caution should never be thrown to the wind.
