The Cries Continued
While the pooch had fallen silent for some time while hiding in its narrow hiding place, the emotions would soon become too powerful to contain. After being there for a while, the dog started whining and crying again, but before long, she started listening to the soothing talks of Loreta. It was heart-wrenching to listen to the poor dog crying in that manner, but the rescuers were encouraged to see that the dog was starting to consider their intentions.

As she cried and locked herself in the space, she dropped her ears as a signal to say she was scared but wanted to trust them. This is a mixture of submission and fear that dogs do to show another animal that they are no longer a threat and to not be hurt any longer. So, they gave her a few minutes to calm down so she would be less terrified. That was surely a relief for the team.
