Here’s a note that is somewhat different than what we’re used to. This driver left a note for traffic cops asking them to stop giving them tickets, while also using the opportunity to express how much they were struggling at the moment. Have mercy and give them some props for effort, ticket writer! Traffic cops are among the most reviled members of society, punishing people for their petty road offenses, but this individual was clearly suffering under their oppression.

Sometimes a note writer can go so far as to craft something a little more poetic than usual, but in this example, the writer ends up in a situation where they question their own grammar while in the middle of penning the angry text. For linguists, that’s often worse than the parking violation itself. This note writer went on quite the mental journey, as an irritable message became a grammatical conjecture. Maybe this person suffers from ADD?
