Time Will Tell
The most important thing on the couple’s to-do-list was to properly establish where this suitcase had come from. It was still completely shrouded in mystery. They realized that at some stage in their long lives spent in their homes, someone had snuck into their property while they were unaware and buried this suitcase. This was no laughing matter, they decided, and they would need to be more careful from this point onward. This could all end very badly for them.

Their investigation began with the dollar bills themselves. After some careful scrutiny and research, they discovered that these notes had been printed nearly a century past, during the 20s and 30s. This was an incredibly long time for something to wait for discovery. Whoever had buried this suitcase, they had done so a lifetime ago. The numerical total of the dollar bills may have been around $5,000, but given their historical nature, they were bound to be worth a lot more today.
