Fiona’s response was similar to Kay’s, and both ladies were thrilled at the news. She was already tremendously proud of Ed for choosing an upstanding woman like Heidi to be his future wife, but this was even more reassuring and she knew the story would bring them even closer together than they already were. There was no doubt in her mind that they could be as happy together as adults as they were as children.

With both parents already so happy for their children, this was the icing on the cake. The two of them could be together forever now, knowing all too well that destiny wouldn’t keep them apart, even after 20 years of being separated. You could be sure that if they ever happened to be driven apart again that they would find a way back to one another’s arms once more. There was no keeping them apart!
