After finding out that they had been connected all that time ago, Kay was certain that they were meant to be joined in holy matrimony. If ever the universe had sent a sign, this was it. It’s hard for anyone to argue with black and white evidence like this. Not only had this couple moved into each other’s apartments, and then been coincidentally joined together once more, but they had been connected when they were too young to understand how significant their meeting was.

Kay’s first port of call was sending the photos to Fiona, who had no idea or recollection of the holiday or of Ed having a so-called “girlfriend” over those two weeks. Kay recalls them holding hands most of the time, but Fiona had somewhat more of a blurry recollection.
