Swallwell’s Mission
Swallwell began by following in Myer’s footsteps by going through his life’s events. Because he was interested in finding Myers’ records, he phoned the Department of Motor Vehicles. His being an employee was irrelevant since all of his records had been wiped clean. That plan was a failure.
In order to get a government-issued identification card, he would be required to present his birth certificate in addition to evidence that he was a legal resident of California. Swalwell posed the question, “But how can he come up with proof of residency if he is homeless?” in response to the previous statement. On the other hand, he wasn’t going to give up easily. It would be necessary for him to have some assistance.
Recruited Companions
The assistance that was needed came in the shape of Swalwell’s pastor and other members of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department who were working with him. They collaborated in order to produce evidence of residence and tracked down Myers’ birth certificate. After one month had passed after their initial encounter, Myers finally obtained his driver’s license by presenting the Department of Motor Vehicles with all of the required documentation.
During the course of his investigation, Swalwell uncovered information that led to the discovery of something that would alter his new friend’s life in an irreversible way.
