The Deceptive Condition
In hindsight, Keely can’t help but see the irony of it all. During this miserable period, she feared her upcoming Christmas party, where she would struggle to find an appropriate outfit. She could not fit comfortably into so many of her clothes any longer. Her body image was at an all-time low. But her self-esteem issues were light compared to the problems that were on their way. Keely could not have imagined just how chaotic her life was about to become.

Despite all her best efforts, Keely could not stop her stomach from expanding at an alarming rate. It was almost like her belly was a separate entity from her body. According to the scared woman, “I was exercising and eating healthily but I was slowly getting bigger. There’s nothing worse than keeping a healthy lifestyle but still gaining an excessive amount of weight.” Can you imagine being in Keely’s shoes? It must have been depressing…
