Patterson insisted on being an approachable officer, regardless of how badly someone had broken the law. Even when individuals were being uncooperative or downright rude, this police officer did his best to calm a person down and resolve the situation peacefully and agreeably without drama. Bringing the BMW to a halt was meant to just be an ordinary procedure and not a life-changing event for both parties. There was a shock in store for the officer!
