Two Heads Better Than One?
Given that two-headed snakes are easy prey for predators, the prospects of Double Dave making it through to maturity in the wild were exceedingly poor. That’s why Herpetological Associates decided to capture the alien creature they had discovered. In a September 2019 story by The Guardian, Schneider was reported as stating, “We’ll take care of it.”

Even in captivity, though, two-headed snakes may be tough to care for — something Cooper Sallade is all too familiar with from his previous experience. Viper breeder Sallade had captured pictures of a bicephalic copperhead in 2018. Since there had been so much excitement around the mutant species, Sallade felt obligated to take the best possible care of it.
