The Outdated Photo
Although they thought that the Google Street View picture might have given them an accurate portrait of how the land looked today, Claire and Cal could not have been more wrong about this. Cal was the first to travel to Dunoon, and as he was about to see, the manor was a lot more decrepit than what they had thought it would be. Naturally, this was a big blow to him and Claire, who had thought they wouldn’t have that much restoration work to do.

Rotting Roof
One of the first things Cal noticed when he entered the property was that the roof had a lot of holes in it. It was rotting away from the lack of maintenance, and the damp weather conditions had not helped the spread of mold. The plumbing and electrical wiring would need to be replaced too, as these had either withered away, or been chewed by unwelcome guests in the unoccupied house over the course of two decades.
