Dwelling on their mistake would be an easy way for their relationship to fall apart. By simply accepting that things had played out in this way, and armed with the knowledge that life is one big adventure, the couple took the bull by the horns and got working on the changes necessary. Sure, it might have been easy for them to throw themselves into despair and to try and take the legal route to get out of their responsibilities. But Cal and Claire were accountable to the mess they found themselves in.

The couple certainly didn’t go into the project with blinders on about what it was going to take for them to complete it. Risks and potential rewards were weighed up, and a lot of money had already been lost in the process. There was potential of them losing even more money if the renovation did not play out as it was meant to. If ever there was a gamble worthy of a young couple to take, this was one that was about as high stakes as they come.
