As hard as he tried to like Samantha, he found her to be “one of the most self-centered, attention gathering people I had ever met.” To him, she was an irredeemable and self-serving person who had no one’s happiness in mind but her own. He knew that he could not stand by and watch Dino be taken for a ride. The particularly perceptive pal was about to crack the case. He knew he had to break it to Dino appropriately.
