Mike was so excited about what he may have stumbled upon, that he almost forgot to let the authorities know that he was in fact still trapped in the chamber. He mentioned this towards the end of the conversation with an official, who promised that they would bring a rescue party with. He recalls the moment they all arrived mostly for their awestruck expressions.
