Change Your Cushion Colors
Cushions are meant to add a little flavor to your sofa and living room in general. It is therefore boring to use the same color as the sofa for the throw pillows. Get creative with a color scheme and add a little spice and splash. That being said, if you adore the more washed out and monochrome themes then you could simply mix up the more muted colors on your couches to add some kind of subtle variety.

Pallet Coffee Table
If you did a little DIY project with some old pallets by making a coffee table, leave it for the patio out back and do not add it to your living room. Adding it there will only make your space look like a lumber yard. As you can see from the picture below, the addition of a pallet coffee table to a wooden board floor is simply too much. Introduce some other kinds of materials into your home.
