Eerie Sounds From Within Home Terrify Woman: She Is Horrified When She Discovers The Cause

Published on 12/16/2019

A lot of neighborhoods have a house or two that are rumored to be haunted. Germantown Tennessee was no exception, but one of those houses had its ghostly reputation repudiated when the cause of the weird sounds heard by the owners was discovered to be something else entirely.

Eerie Sounds From Within Home Terrify Woman She Is Horrified When She Discovers The Cause

Every so often, the inhabitants of this house heard noises that they could not identify or trace its origin. As time went by, these sounds increased in frequency until the noises were constant. They decided to get some professional help to determine the source of the sounds. This fateful decision would start them on a journey of discovery that would alter their future in a way they had never imagined.

Let’s take a look at what was hiding within the structure of this supposedly haunted house.

Normal Home

This Germantown house was one of many similar homes in this close-knit community. It was located in a sought-after neighborhood and the sense of small-town camaraderie was just what this family was looking for.

Normal Home

Normal Home

After settling into their new home, they had no inkling of the trouble to come and how they would have to fight for peace and quiet in their daily lives. It was not long after they had moved in that they became aware of weird noises emanating from the actual structure of the house.

An Established Property

As in any house that was built a while ago, creaks and settling noises were common. The new sound they heard was not the same and none of them could identify it. And the strangest thing of all was the fact that it seemed to be coming from the walls themselves.

An Established Property

An Established Property

Apart from this strange sound, they were very happy with their new home regardless of it being quite old. Many of the Germantown homes were older and the inhabitants often refurbished them, but they had character and history.

What could the new home-owners be hearing?

Hearing The Noise For The First Time

Initially, the weird noises were heard on and off and not very often but each person dismissed it as either their imagination or the house settling as no one else heard it at the same time.

Hearing The Noise For The First Time

Hearing The Noise For The First Time

But that all changed, when a while later, all the family members did begin to hear noises simultaneously and the occurrences began increasing. They knew this wasn’t just some random one-off experience, and that they had to get to the bottom of it.

Unidentified Racket

The inhabitants of the house tried to identify the source and cause of the strange sounds they had all been hearing but they could not. It was not the normal house sounds one hears all the time such as doors and floors creaking.

Unidentified Racket

Unidentified Racket

What made it even more strange and difficult to identify, was the fact that it seemed as if the sound actually moved around the house, making it even more impossible to pin down the location of the sounds, even after hours of searching and listening carefully.

The situation was about to get more serious.

Never Ending Annoyance

From hearing the strange sound only occasionally in the beginning, the family started hearing it practically all the time, round-the-clock strange noises and spread out across the house. This was getting beyond strange now, it was worrying. They could not ignore it and they were determined to find out what it was.

Never Ending Annoyance

Never Ending Annoyance

Their fear was that whatever was making this noise may be detrimental to the structure of the house. They came up with an interesting theory.

How will they locate the cause?

Possibly Vermin?

It is not unusual for an older home to have rats or mice nesting within the roof and walls. So although at first, this was the top of their list of suspicions, vermin usually make a unique ticking sound, so the family was quite sure it was not a rat or mouse nest, and they could cross that off their list.

Possibly Vermin

Possibly Vermin

If it was, it would have to be a fairly large number of vermin to explain the volume and locations of the noises. They decided they couldn’t be sure unless they got the experts in, even secretly wishing that was it and the mystery would be solved.

How would they deal with this?

Calling The Exterminators

In case the sounds they heard were vermin, the family called in the experts. They helped guide the exterminators so that they could treat the correct areas in the house by listening to the noises.

Calling The Exterminators

Calling The Exterminators

The pest-control company treated all the areas where the sounds had been heard and were sure that if it was vermin, their treatment would drive them out. Still, no one really knew what was causing the noise.

Would the treatment work?

No Relief From Nagging Noises

Much to their disappointment, the noise did not cease even for a minute. The family members were becoming really irritated and wanted it to stop but had no idea how to do this. Then they had another brainwave.

No Relief From Nagging Noises

No Relief From Nagging Noises

The exterminators had had no effect and the family now had no hope that they would be able to determine what was causing the sound let alone find a way to remove it.

Paranormal Sounds

The pesticide that the exterminators had used would have killed anything alive within their walls. The family members were out of other ideas and started to consider the possibility that their house was haunted.

Paranormal Sounds

Paranormal Sounds

Even though it seemed a bit extreme to consider the noise was caused by the paranormal, they had no other explanation as to what could be happening. If the house was haunted, what could they do to resolve it?

Were they in danger from the paranormal? Read on to see.

Concern Sets In

It did seem as if something conscious was making the sounds in the wall so how would the family get it out if it was supernatural? Whatever course of action the family would decide to take, it had to work this time.

Concern Sets In

Concern Sets In

They had even considered insects of some sort, but if the unknown perpetrator had been alive, then the pesticide should have gotten rid of it already when the exterminators came in. As this did not happen, what would? The entire situation was so strange.

Do you have an idea of what could be causing this?

Searching For A Solution

The family could not actually believe that their house was haunted so they decided to do further investigation themselves to try to find a more earthly solution. As a first step, they did what most of us would do; they googled the problem.

Searching For A Solution

Searching For A Solution

As Google offered up many reasons for strange noises in houses, they realized that forums discussing the problems and solutions to annoying noises in houses would be most useful to them.

After hours of searching, they found that their particular situation was very rare.

Odd Issue

The forums they joined made it clear that their issue stumped all the participants. The family found it difficult to explain what they were hearing so no one was able to offer any solutions. They realized that they needed to be very specific when describing the noises to the forum.

Odd Issue

Odd Issue

The family decided to sit in silence until they heard the sound again as a group. They would then be able to better describe it to the forum members.

When they heard it again, it was a wretched sound. What could be causing it?

Sounds Become Increasingly Louder

When they next heard it, the noise was even louder and now sounded as if it was being made by a large animal. It was so bizarre! As the family was hearing it all at the same time, they could figure it out together, and they all agreed now that it actually felt like a reverberation.

Sounds Become Increasingly Louder

Sounds Become Increasingly Louder

Surely only something of this earth could be causing this noise. They needed to determine what it was, and quickly.

What or who was it? Read on to find out.

Droning In The Walls

They were not prepared for what they were about to find out. The family was all together listening and were surprised that they all agreed they could actually feel the house reverberate somewhat. Something very odd indeed was going on in their lovely new home.

Droning In The Walls

Droning In The Walls

As they listened in horror, the noise started to sound like a reverberating murmur. They began to accept that they were in a very strange and scary situation and agreed to leave the house for a while and talk it over in the garden.

Ideas Spark

As the family entered their garden they began noticing the sound was coming from one particular wall at that moment, and they all automatically headed towards it. Apart from the sound seeming even louder outside, they saw a small insect crawling around the window frame.

Ideas Spark

Ideas Spark

They watched the small bug crawl through a tiny gap between the window frame and the room inside. It was a bee. Could this bee be part of a hive that was the cause of the noises they heard?

Surely one bee could not generate such a noise on its own?

David Glover: The Bee Expert

Based on their suspicion that there may be a beehive in their house structure, they googled bee experts to find a local bee-keeper who may be able to assist them. They found David Glover and contacted him immediately.

David Glover: The Bee Expert

David Glover: The Bee Expert

The family would never have hurt any bees and only wanted the hive relocated if, in fact, this was what was causing the sounds they heard. David Glover seemed to be the man they needed.

David was a renowned and highly skilled bee-keeper.

Expert Work

Many home-owners call an exterminator when they find a hive in their house structure or garden. But actually what they should do is call an expert like David who will relocate the hive without hurting the bees.

Expert Work

This is crucial as bees are actually vital to the survival of humans on earth and should never be killed. People like David rescue hives and relocate them away from humans in a safe and responsible manner.

Will David resolve this family’s noise issue?

Removing The Issue

Moving a hive containing thousands of bees is a very dangerous job and not for the faint-hearted. Not many people could imagine doing David’s job.

Removing The Issue

Removing The Issue

David has a unique relationship with the bees he rescues. He moves the hive containing the bees to a safe location and the bees then provide him with honey which he can sell. He also provides bee venom therapy to his human counterparts.

Would David help them?

Noisy Bees

The family had only seen one bee crawl through their window so they could not be sure that thousands of bees in the hive were the cause of their strange house noises. They would need an expert to help them determine if this was the cause and reason for their problem.

Noisy Bees

Noisy Bees

David agreed with them and said he would need to come over to their house to check a few things first before they jumped to any conclusions.

Read on to see what David found.

Another Ordinary Day As A Bee-Keeper

The family told David that the noise they were hearing sounded like a loud droning. Like a hive would sound. As this meant they may be dealing with thousands of bees if they were correct, they were worried they may be in danger of being severely stung.

The family was also worried that the presence of a large hive would damage their house. David had heard all of this before and knew how to handle the situation and what needed to be done next.

Making Sure

David could hear that the family members were panicking a bit and he needed to alleviate their fears as well as see the situation first hand and conduct some investigations on site. He immediately arranged to come over to the house.

Making Sure

He packed his bee suit and other equipment. His get-up can look quite disquieting to his clients but he needs all of it to safely and effectively remove a hive.

A bee expert needs a thermal imaging camera if he needs to see if there is a hive inside the structure of a house or building. The camera detects heat sources and will tell him if a hive is present or not.

Images From The Camera

The family members were fascinated to see the images on the camera. A heat source lights up in red and at first, the whole view house lit up. As the image-stabilized, David showed them that there was something in the wall that was generating heat but he could not see an entry point in the wall that would have allowed any access to anything that would be picked up by the camera like this.

Images From The Camera

As he searched carefully, he realized that the wall had a small ventilation hole that is standard for houses in the south, due to the humidity. He knew that this was the entry point used by the family’s visitors.

No Doubt The Issue Is Bees

From the clear imagery on the images from the camera, there was absolutely no doubt that the noise issues were caused by a bee infestation. However, when David noted the structural build of the home, he realized it would be a somewhat challenging job to handle.

No Doubt The Issue Is Bees

David was determined to help the homeowners finally be rid of the pesky sounds coming from within the walls. Even though he was uncertain as to how he would handle the problem, he invested his best efforts to conclude a plan of action.

But how would David get rid of the bees?

As David looked at the red image on his camera, indicating the large heat source, he realized the hive was within the wall of the house.

What else does the image show?

Removing The Noise Annoyance

When David the bee-whisperer saw how many bees there were, he leaped into action. The home-owners were unsettled by the bees and the bees themselves were not in a good place being inside the wall. They could hurt themselves.

Removing The Noise Annoyance

Removing The Noise Annoyance

David decided he would relocate the bees if the family agreed to his conditions.

Would the family agree to David’s terms?

Deconstruction

To remove the bees, David knew that some damage was going to have to be done to the house. He would not go ahead if the family did not agree to this. His main concern was removing the bees safely.

Deconstruction

Deconstruction

The family, on the other hand, were so tired of the noise that even the prospect of a large repair bill did not deter them. They just wanted the bees removed. Their goal was to restore their home to the tranquil space they had always imagined it would be.

The story gets even crazier. Read on!

A Huge Project

Although David was pleased that he could help both the bees and the homeowners, he knew that his job would be very difficult. The thermal imaging camera had confirmed that, based on the heat source, this was an enormous hive and that he had his work cut out for him.

A Huge Project

A Huge Project

The size of the hive and the fact that the house was built from brick meant that this would probably be the most difficult relocation he had ever done.

Would he succeed? Read on to find out.

Things Get Even More difficult

From experience, David knew that brick fragmented when you try to break a wall down and the very act of removing the bricks can damage the hive and cause injury or death to the bees. The bees would also be greatly disturbed by breaking down the wall and would be angry as a result.

Things Get Even More Difficult

Things Get Even More Difficult

Working with brick when demolishing the wall could be problematic and David wondered if the outcome would be positive or not. Regardless, he was going to try.

Taking Down The Wall

After struggling to remove the first brick, David gasped when he saw how little space there was between the brick and the concrete. He worried that after he had managed to remove all the bricks, many of the bees would have died.

Taking Down The Wall

As he peered into the hole left by the removed brick he was amazed to note that he could see the whole hive and it looked intact and normal, if rather large. He was relieved and continued working with more confidence.

Infestation Of Bees

David’s first glance into the space created by the removal of that first brick confirmed that the family did have a big bee problem and that the hive looked viable and unharmed.

The hole itself was full of bees. This hive must consist of many thousands of bees. The bees themselves seemed to know what was best for them.

What else could there be in that hole?

Inspecting

The bees disturbed by the removal of the brick were swarming around David and he knew there were many more in the hive.

Inspecting

Inspecting

As he worked carefully and slowly, he realized that it was going to take a long time to remove the other bricks to get to the hive. If the first brick was so difficult to remove, what would the others be like?

Too Many To Count

Despite his experience in the bee removal industry, David had never seen such a large hive and he still had no idea how far along the inside of the wall it ran. He had a feeling this job would be one for the books.

Too Many To Count

Too Many To Count

He could not tell the family just how much of their wall he would need to remove and they started getting concerned again as they would need to hire a builder to repair the wall at great cost to them. They were not even sure anymore that David should proceed.

Will this job be completed?

Bee Removal Begins

The time ticked on as David slowly removed one brick after another exposing more and more of the hive. He could not just hammer the bricks out as this might infuriate the bees and cause them to swarm endangering the entire neighborhood.

He was also cognizant of the fact that this wall would have to be replaced or repaired. If the bricks were removed whole, this may reduce the cost of repair and assist the family financially.

David has another announcement. Read on to find out what it is.

More Bricks Come Out

A few hours later, two lines of bricks had been removed but David saw that the hive was still full of bees and the number of bricks he had removed was not enough to get to all the bees.

In a hive this large, there will be thousands of bees and David needed to move them all safely. He wondered how he was going to do this.

Guess how many bees were in this hive?

Countless Bees

David actually tried to count all the bees and estimated that there were 35 000. The total could be as high as 40 000 but he was not sure as it was extremely difficult to count the bees as they buzzed around him. He was proud of himself for counting as many as he could. He hoped he could keep them all but was not sure he would be able to.
