In a hive this large, there will be thousands of bees and David needed to move them all safely. He wondered how he was going to do this.

Countless Bees
David actually tried to count all the bees and estimated that there were 35 000. The total could be as high as 40 000 but he was not sure as it was extremely difficult to count the bees as they buzzed around him. He was proud of himself for counting as many as he could. He hoped he could keep them all but was not sure he would be able to.

Moving so many bees meant that he had to capture them all. As the bees in this hive were calm and stuck close to their hive, David was not sure if he could capture them all. With his special equipment, he had a good chance of succeeding.
