As in any house that was built a while ago, creaks and settling noises were common. The new sound they heard was not the same and none of them could identify it. And the strangest thing of all was the fact that it seemed to be coming from the walls themselves.

Apart from this strange sound, they were very happy with their new home regardless of it being quite old. Many of the Germantown homes were older and the inhabitants often refurbished them, but they had character and history.

Initially, the weird noises were heard on and off and not very often but each person dismissed it as either their imagination or the house settling as no one else heard it at the same time.

But that all changed, when a while later, all the family members did begin to hear noises simultaneously and the occurrences began increasing. They knew this wasn’t just some random one-off experience, and that they had to get to the bottom of it.
