When you buy a new home, you generally expect it to be safe and empty of any unwanted guests. This was not the case for Calvin Oshowy, who would only discover his new home’s true nature when he had finished signing and paying for the house. He was shocked to quickly find that his new home was brimming with bats, from the attic to more open spaces in the common area. What followed was a costly removal process with the help of bat experts, followed by an even more expensive fixing of the little devilish creature’s tunnels.

This is a particularly touching case where some new homeowners found an incredible military burial flag in their homes after they started tidying up the place. Being a veteran himself, Kerry Cremean was moved to tears when he discovered this special memento. What made it all so much more impactful was the fact that they had both served their country. Cremean surfed social media in search of answers, and he was later informed online that the mystery soldier had met an untimely end during the 1980s during a terrible car accident. He was survived by three daughters.
