This next home-based discovery might just be the creepiest of them all. This couple would quickly find that the previous owner had enjoyed a sinister hobby when they opened a cupboard containing a case filled with ventriloquist dummies. As you can imagine, they were horrified before realizing what they were. While completely harmless, these dummies were still startlingly disturbing. Someone had some explaining to do! Some people have such interesting hobbies, and we are not about to judge them.

The Old Master
This is probably the most outstanding find that any homeowner in this collection discovered. In 1502, an Italian noble employed none other than Leonardo Da Vinci to paint a battlefield scene that the rich man wanted to preserve. Forty years after the painting’s completion, another artist called Giorgio Vasari was paid to destroy the war scene. Unwilling to damage a work by Da Vinci, Vasari then hid the painting behind a wall. More than 400 years later, an unwitting homeowner found this priceless Da Vinci piece behind a wall he was rebuilding.
