Stunned and Excited
When Heidi talks about the moment she found out, after her mom sent her the first photo, she references a feeling of being totally stunned. She recalled having to lie down in the moment, her mind swirling in a thousand different directions. It was an overwhelming feeling knowing that your fleeting childhood sweetheart would come back into your life one day as a more permanent addition. These were exciting revelations for the couple that deepened their bonds so much more.

At that stage, Ed’s family had started digging up old photo albums too, and there were five additional couples of the young pair, as well as others of them with all their siblings. This was a magical moment that brought both families even closer together. Few families have enjoyed such a moment, where they realize that they were so much more connected than they had previously understood or remembered. This kind of situation makes us all rethink our relationships with those special people in our lives!
