We also owe it to bees to help them survive, especially given how endangered they are in so many parts of the world.

No gardener can be called competent without having a watering can. These are not pricey tools, but you can create your own one with an empty gallon jug. All you need do is stab a few holes in the jug’s cap and then use it to water your plants. This might seem like an obvious given to many experienced gardeners, but so many rookie gardeners will neglect the most fundamental need of plants. Just make sure that you know how much water each plant needs!
