The couple had a Boxer dog before they initially started having children. Interestingly, back in 1945 when they got married, they received their first dog, Harvey, as a wedding gift from Louis Bromfield. Their love for animals, dogs, in particular, began to increase after they went out and got their other pets, George and Baby – Pooches.
