Thorson got his wish granted when Stefan, not surprisingly, decided to pack up his organization and leave. It was his style, after all, to target vulnerable lottery systems and then leave after the authorities wizened up to his antics. The Jewish-Romanian and his family went back to Israel. It was all well and good that Stefan should disappear into the sunset, but what did his investors get out of this whole shebang?

Stefan might have been a lottery-breaking genius, but turns out there was a major streak of dishonesty in him. Remember those 2500 backers we mentioned earlier? Well, they did not stand on the winning side at all. In fact, they were mightily ripped off by Stefan, whose promises and agreements all dissolved, despite how much money they had won together. What they all ended up getting was hugely disappointing!
