Another parent, David, gave Chris a solid piece of advice to ‘toughen up” his son as this world will never be the bed of roses he expected. Helping the child with his assignments is much better than playing the blame game when something goes wrong. David was of the opinion that given how full of nasty and hurtful moments life is, that he was doing his son a disservice by not forcing him to face his fears.

Pathetic Was Too Harsh
Lori focused on the main word in the whole saga and felt terrible about it. The term “pathetic” used by the teacher was too heavy as adults get angry when told much less a child. While many people might not have thought that Bohenek’s comment was not that harsh, the definition for pathetic is as follows: ‘miserably inadequate; of very low standard.’ No person should ever be made to feel this way, no matter how badly they failed at something.
