Escaped Or Released?
It is believed that some of these animals escaped – or were released – into the wild. This was according to the United States Department of Agriculture. As a result, the Burmese python is now classified as an invasive species since it lacks natural predators to keep its numbers under control. And, as a result of the snake’s voracious hunger for local animals, the wildlife of the region is now in danger.
