As he passed he recalled seeing dozens of chains swinging from the ceiling of the muddy cave. Understandably this made him feel extremely uncomfortable.

One particular chain was swinging with quite a bit of force. This confirmed Christopher’s suspicions that someone must be inside the tunnel with him. There was no air or wind flow inside the little mine which means someone must have pushed the chain while passing by.
