The Disguise
Sarah’s gorgeous dress, once the gown of a lifetime, now felt more like a silly disguise. She felt like an impostor as she smiled back in the faces of all her friends and family. Regardless, she boldly strode down the aisle, knowing full well just how diabolical the seemingly dreamlike scene would become. Sarah made it to the podium, dropped her bouquet, and took her place, committed to ditching the classic vows. Instead, she had a more horrifying script in mind.

Finally, everyone was gathered and waiting excitedly for the ceremony to begin. Sarah strode in like a queen as the romantic music played and her ‘husband-to-be’ watched her enter with tears in his eyes. The vows were about to be exchanged. Sarah recounted that “I stood at the front of the room in my wedding dress and looked out at the excited faces of our friends and family.” She was experiencing new levels of nervousness as she whipped out her smartphone.
