At this point, Tara could feel her anxiety creeping up, as well as her anger. She decided to stay calm, especially as they were still driving, letting the matter simmer a bit until they reached home. For now, her focus was just on getting back home, so they could discuss it further.

As much as she was trying to calm herself down, Tara clung on to the steering wheel so tightly that her knuckles turned a different shade. It was clear that she was angrier than she had been in a very long time. Whoever was responsible for the mark on her son’s arm was going to pay.
