It might sound like a paradox, but towels do get dirty when you use them after even the most intense shower. This is because loads of dead skin cells get rubbed off onto your towel when you scrub yourself with one, which then beginning coating the towel’s fibers causing rot.

Of course, a simple laundry job will get most of the skin cells out, but there are many which imbed themselves too deeply to be removed so easily. So, whenever you feel like your towel needs some extra work, mix half a cup of vinegar with half a cup of hydrogen peroxide together next time you put your towels through the wash.

Now we have a really clever use for hydrogen peroxide. You probably know that most of our hydrogen peroxide uses have just been for busting germs in single areas. But imagine being able to use it to clean whole rooms of their germs? A small amount of hydrogen peroxide combined with a humidifier can work wonders for the quality of your personal air.

Make a 1:8 hydrogen peroxide and water mixture, complete with a sprig of lavender scented essential oil for some of the cleanest, most pleasant-smelling home air imaginable.
