Doing the Laundry

Having a lot of people living at home can be a struggle, especially when it comes on to the laundry, and not doing it often can leave an unsightly view. You have to focus on doing the laundry in bulk to ease the pressure like doing kids’ clothes together and once dry, let them pack them away at the same time. Dedicate a few days of the week to do laundry, or you can select one day when you take care of it all.

Make Your Bed

A lot of us tend jumping out of bed and leave it as it is until we are ready to get back into it at night. Beds were meant to be made, and it is not the best feeling to go back into a messy bed. This tactic is one of the first ways to creating a clean home as this is the first place you are when you wake up in the morning. After all, it only takes a few seconds to minutes to get it done.

Get a Duster

Dusting is one of the most critical tasks when it comes to cleaning the home, and you can use a lot of different things to dust like a rag or feather duster. Whether you want to believe it or not, your furniture may not be showing, dirt but it sure accumulates a lot when you are not focusing on it. No matter how much you dust and clean in the morning, using a wet rag by midday will shock you to the core. A feather duster will do great as each time you have a spare minute or two, you can wave it across the surfaces.

Sweep a Lot

Sweeping makes the house clean and one of the only ways of maintaining a clean environment. A dirty floor is not only visible when you look at it, but when you walk, it can be so annoying. If you live alone, we understand not sweeping every day, but once you have other people living there, especially kids, you will have to do it often.

The ‘Everything’ Basket

This basket will save you a lot as you have the opportunity to dump every loose thing around the home in it. Living with people can be annoying, especially when they leave their shoes, coat, or the kids leave their toys hanging around. The ‘everything’ basket is a haven for you to rescue the sanity of your home to maintain and pleasant look.

Dust Before You Mop

You may want to grab the mop first thing in the morning to get that unsightly look off the floor before you consider dusting. However, this could be one of the worst mistakes you could ever make. You will want to dust, so you don’t have the issue of having a dirty floor when you pass a flower, and it knocks off accumulated dirt particles.

Disinfect Your Food Area

You want to ensure your cooking and food preparation areas are sanitized for health safety reasons. This area is one of the most susceptible to contracting bacteria, so it should be in a clean and pleasant area at all times.

Wipe Down

You may want to keep a wet cloth in close range or a pale of disinfected water so you can wipe different areas as you go around the home. This practice will help to reduce the accumulation of dust and bacteria.

Don’t Procrastinate

If you keep putting off cleaning up, the job will never get done. IT’s best to do it and get the task off the list to reduce the workload from getting higher.

Make it a Routine

No matter how busy you think your day is, set aside at least 15 minutes to do a little cleaning, from wiping to dusting or sweeping. This way, you won’t have a pile-up of an untidy setting.
