While Ed grew up in London, he wanted to get away from the family home in a bid to find himself a little bit, and to move towards becoming a little more independent. Given how little the young man knew about caring for himself without his parents’ help, this was an essential move for him. Considering he was already in his twenties this was understandable, and it would be this decision that would eventually lead him straight to Heidi.

As soon as she started showing him how to dry his clothes, Ed fell in love. He knew that this was a kind and compassionate person that was patient and had enough good humor to stand any silly situation. He almost immediately asked her to go on a formal date, but Heidi played it cool, opting for a few casual meetings first, before committing to a romantic date. They started spending more time together right away.
